Thirteen people pose in front of a large house on a porch and steps. They are dressed in business casual and semi-formal attire, standing and sitting in small groups, smiling towards the camera. Two trees and green grass frame the scene.

We create timelessly beautiful environments. Our approach is not dogmatic, except in so much as each project is its own entity, responsive to its own particular conditions and reflective of its particular requirements: No project is the same. We take constant inspiration from history, but we strive to innovate and re-invent rather than to replicate. Indeed, our portfolio includes a wide range of styles and work types, but all are united by an unwavering commitment to what we consider the essentials of design: attentive listening, careful consideration, meticulous planning, and thorough execution.

Prior to founding the practice, Mary worked on houses at Robert A.M. Stern Architects in New York and, before that, at Boston firm Albert, Righter & Tittmann.

Mary earned a BA in Art History from Williams College and an M.Arch from the Yale School of Architecture. She hails from a family of architects; indeed, every member of her nuclear family is one. She proudly continues that heritage as a licensed architect in the States of New York and Connecticut.
